"I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do
'Cause I'll never be with you." - James Blunt
I heard that song yesterday and the lyrics feel so true...
That's just what you get if you live in a big city.
you have all the possibilities, all the freedom. There is so much people you can met, so much things to do... but you don't meet anyone, you don't do anything, most of the time you stay at home surfing the web or writing stuff in a blog.
The apparently endless freedom of our cities is a kind of prison. Or how could you find someone whose name you don't know in a 6 million people city? No way.
That's for me the paradoxe of contemporary society: a whole world of opportunities with no available path to reach it.
The absolute freedom is a prision; and the obvious link will point to Michael Ende's Prison of Liberty.
